Description
Mount Chamlang is one of beautiful mountain located in Makalu region. 7319 meter Mount Chamalang lies in the Hunku valley of south west of Makalu region. From the summit of this peak, you’ll have stunning panoramic view of giant 8000 meter mountains which includes five of the world’s 8000m peaks such as Everest, Kangchenjunga, Makalu, Cho-Oyu, Lhotse and many other 7,000m peaks including Baruntse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, Kangtega, Nuptse.
From the base camp, we set up three camps to attempting the summit (Camp I -5,200m), Camp II-5,700m and Camp III-6,300m). This mountain was first climbed by a member of Japanese expedition Anma and Pasang Phutar Sherpa on the 31st May 1962 led by Takeo Okamoto. It is a steep forward mountain that demands good physical fitness and technical climbing. Himalayan Shepherds climbing leads you the mountain measuring all safety and successful methods of climbing.
